The important detail is that later rounds are derived, not typed — each slot shows whoever won the match feeding into it. Fix a spelling mistake in round one and the correction follows that team through every round it reaches, including the champion card.

Advancing a team is a single click on the dot beside its name; click again to undo if a result changes. There is no drag-and-drop to fight with, which also means the bracket works properly on a phone at the side of a court or table.

Set the entrant count to anything from 3 to 32 and the layout, round labels, and connector lines resize together. Round names fill in automatically — Round of 16, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, Final — and each one is editable if your event uses different language.

Counts that are not a power of two get byes, and this is where most free bracket makers get it wrong. Byes are not dumped at the bottom of the list; they are dealt using standard bracket seeding, so a 12-team draw gives first-round byes to seeds 1 through 4 — the same result you would get drawing it by hand. Teams facing a bye advance to round two on their own, so the only matches you click are the ones actually played.

Enter names in seed order for a seeded draw, or hit Shuffle for a random one — the fair way to run an office pool or a pick-from-a-hat tournament. Shuffling clears existing picks so a re-draw always starts clean.

If you would rather fill the bracket in with a pen, leave the later rounds undecided and download: undecided slots export as empty boxes, not placeholder dashes, so you get a genuinely blank printable bracket. Pin it to the wall and write results in as games finish.

For a prediction pool, build the bracket with the real matchups, export the clean PNG, and share it — everyone fills in their own picks on their copy. For a live tournament, keep the page open and click winners through as results come in, re-downloading the updated bracket each round for the group chat.

The same layout suits playoff brackets, esports tournaments, chess and debate clubs, and classroom competitions. Note that this maker is single elimination only — the format behind the overwhelming majority of brackets — so double elimination and round robin schedules are not supported yet.
