What is a cycle diagram?
A cycle diagram shows a process that repeats continuously — there's no start or end point. Common uses: product development cycles, seasonal patterns, feedback loops, PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act), and biological cycles.
How is a cycle diagram different from a process diagram?
A process diagram shows a linear sequence with a clear start and end. A cycle diagram is circular — the last step leads back to the first. Use a process diagram at /tools/process-diagram-maker for one-time workflows and a cycle diagram for repeating processes.
How many stages should my cycle have?
3 to 8 stages is ideal for readability. Fewer than 3 doesn't need a diagram; more than 8 becomes crowded in the circular layout.
Can I combine this with other widgets?
