Drag the needle
Swing the needle anywhere around the dial and the value follows live — or type an exact value and min/max range.
- 2
Drag the zone boundaries

What is a gauge chart used for?
A gauge shows one number against a range, so the reader instantly sees whether it is good or bad. It suits uptime, quota attainment, satisfaction scores, and any KPI with a target.
Can I drag the needle instead of typing a value?
Yes. Swing the needle around the dial and the value follows live. You can also type an exact number if you need precision.
How do I set the red / amber / green bands?
Use a threshold layout and drag the white rim dots to move each band boundary. The zones are what turn a raw number into a judgement, so put the amber edge at the level where you would actually start worrying.
Can I change the min and max?
Yes — any range works, including 0–100, 0–1000, or a percentage scale. The needle and the zone boundaries rescale with it.
What is the difference between the three layouts?
KPI dial is a single clean gauge for one metric. Threshold adds the coloured bands for pass/warn/fail reading. Dashboard pairs the dial with a derived summary card for slides where the number needs context.
Can I animate the needle for a video?
Yes. Preview the sweep for free; exporting it as an MP4 for LinkedIn, Instagram, or a slide deck is a Pro feature.
Is a gauge better than a progress bar?
A gauge is better when the number is judged against thresholds — it shows where the value falls relative to good and bad. A progress bar is better for pure completion, where only "how far along" matters.
What can I export?
PNG at Compact, Report, or Slide size, free and without a watermark. Vector SVG, HD 2×/3×/4×, and MP4 are Pro.
