Free Printable Graph Paper

Most printable graph paper online is a fixed PDF someone made once — the wrong spacing, the wrong page size, or a grid so dark it fights your pencil. This generator builds the sheet to your spec instead: choose 5 mm, 10 mm (1 cm), quarter-inch, or half-inch squares, set the line weight from fine to bold, and pick an ink color that will not overpower your work.

Because the sheet renders at 200 DPI, the spacing is physically accurate. Print at 100% scale — turn off "fit to page" or "shrink oversized pages" in your print dialog — and a 5 mm square measures 5 mm against a ruler. That matters for math homework, scale drawings, and anything you plan to measure.

Dot grid paper replaces the lines with light dots, which is why bullet journal and planner users prefer it — the page still guides your layout but the grid disappears behind your writing. Set the dot spacing to 5 mm for a classic notebook feel, and use the line weight control to make the dots finer or heavier.

Isometric paper draws a triangular 30-degree grid instead of squares, the standard for 3D sketching, orthographic projection, knitting and cross-stitch charts, and tabletop map design. Engineering paper is a square grid with a bolder major line every 5 or 10 cells, so you can count units quickly on a drafting sketch.

The coordinate plane adds numbered x and y axes through the origin, with arrowheads, tick marks, and labels across all four quadrants — ready for plotting points, graphing linear equations, or handing out as a maths worksheet. The Major line control sets how often the numbers appear so the axes stay readable at any spacing.

The same generator prints ruled writing paper: choose Ruled lines and pick narrow, college, or wide spacing. College and wide rules include the traditional red left margin, so the result matches standard notebook paper — useful when you need a few sheets for handwriting practice, a spelling test, or a page of notes and the notebook is empty.

Wide ruled suits younger writers and large handwriting; college ruled fits more lines on the page for note-taking; narrow ruled packs the most lines per sheet. Add the Name and Date header to turn any of them into a ready-to-hand-out worksheet.

Turn on the Name and Date header and the sheet gains an editable worksheet title plus name and date lines — click the title and type your own, such as "Multiplication Practice" or "Coordinate Geometry". Print a stack and hand them out; no need to photocopy a master sheet or buy pads of quad paper.
