Fish-tail: V-shaped notch on each end. Reads as classic award ribbon, prize, achievement. Best for "Best Seller", "Top Rated", "Award winner" labels. The fold depth slider tunes how deep the V cuts in — deep cut for sports pennants, shallow for elegant award ribbons.

Curl: rounded scrolled ends. Reads as decorative, ornamental, ceremonial. Best for invitations, certificates, formal announcements. The shape includes a fold-line where the curl meets the body — gives the banner a 3D feeling.

Flat: simple rectangle. Reads as modern, clean, minimal. Best for flat / Material design, sale labels on product images, modern social media graphics where ornament would feel dated.

Match the height to your text. A 0.5 height ribbon needs short bold text ("SALE", "NEW"). A 0.25 height ribbon fits longer phrases ("Limited edition collection") with thinner text.

For award ribbons: deep fold (0.3+) and rich gradient (gold-to-amber, royal-blue-to-navy). Layer over your achievement text for a classic award badge.

Drop shadow makes the ribbon feel like it's floating above the page. Almost always worth enabling — try 4px offset, 12px blur, 25% opacity for a subtle lift.
